Il y a en fait la totalité du 4e album anglais, le 3e album démoli par la suppression d'une chanson et le loving you du 2e album. L'objet et joli mais les albums 3 et 4 sont si différents que les coupler rend l'ensemble un peu boiteux. A quand une vraie collection anglaise 1962-2018?

Mentissa reprend Zaz.  Et on apprend que la chanteuse d'Indre et Loire aux yeux exhorbités a vendu 5 millions d'albums dans le monde depuis 2010 !

Un album de Bashung qui date du début des années 90. Un des derniers albums encore accessible. Plus tard, à l'exception de "La nuit je mens", c'est devenu un truc à bobo.

A l'exception de l'horrible interprétation de la non binaire, la guitare domine sur toutes les interprétations. Je trouve la version minimaliste de Boulay plutôt réussie. Mais le nom de "Bashung" m'exaspère donc toujours pas convaincu de faire l'achat...

Que l'on me croie ou pas, je ne connais pas Nana Mouskouri, hormis quelques rengaines genre "Je chante avec toi Liberté" ou une reprise française de Abba ou les enfants du Pirrée. Pourtant il s'agirait de l'une (si ce n'est la) des plus grandes vendeuses.

J'ai essayé d'écouter un album des années 60 (chante du jazz à New-York) et une compile des années 70.

Que dire? La voix est effectivement pure. Mais que c'est rébarbatif et long. Tout se ressemble (un non connaisseur de FH dira aussi la même chose....). J'ai abdiqué au bout de 4-5 chansons. A l'image du succès de Zaz, Mireille Matthieu, Patricia Kaas... un grand mystère que ces énormes cartons hors de France...

Puisque Bilal Hassani a été empêché de jouer son concert à Metz, il reprend un titre de Dalida.  Et je me rend compte que toutes les chanteuses actuelles qui chantent leur trucs tristes et trop souvent nombrilistes reprennent souvent Dalida

J'ai toujours aimé JOHN ANDERSON, floridien de 68 ans. Si ses premiers amours musicaux sont les Rolling Stones et Jimi Hendrix, la découverte de Merle Haggard et George Jones l'ont poussé ... à débarquer à l'âge de 16 ans chez sa soeur qui avait une maison à Nashville. Sans la prévenir   Petits boulots le jour ( il a même participé à réparer le toit de la scène du Grand Ole Opry   ) et chanter dans les clubs le soir.

On va dire pour 8 cas sur 10, rien ne vaut les originaux de 1981 qui s'éclataient dans la belle époque de la variété italienne kitsch à souhait.

Juste, à part faire frémir les festivaliers d'un été à mémoire courte (et porte-monnaie troué quand il s'agit d'acheter de la musique...) "l'autre", à part tenter de montrer qu'elle a de la culture (une reprise de Brigitte Fontaine, çà la fait quand même mieux qu'une reprise de Brigitte). Quand à l'argument, "Oh, toute ma jeunesse, j'ai écouté Barbara, Jacques Brel, Brigitte Fontaine,... chez mes parents et ce sont eux qui m'ont donné de l'inspiration et l'envie de chanter..." il faudra penser un jour à le changer, à moins d'avoir passer toutes les vacances chez l'arrière grand-mère....

Tu as tout à fait raison Thierry, il faut changer ce discours visant à améliorer la triste réalité ( à mon avis ses parents ont dû s'éclater sur Claude François, Sheila et Yvette Horner - non, elle c'est pour Claudio Capéo le Richard Clayderman du piano du pauvre).
Moi j'ai été élevé à Tino Rossi, Luis Mariano, André Claveau, Gloria Lasso, Jacqueline François, mais je préfère dire : Gréco, Boris Vian, Les frères Jacques, les Quatre Barbus, Cora Vaucaire, c'est plus noble.
N'empêche, Tino Rossi, Luis Mariano, André Claveau, Gloria Lasso et Jacqueline François m'ont amené à Françoise Hardy, alors, grâce leur soit rendue.

Elle a l'air shooté la chanteuse de Ricchi et Poveri en 2023, presque comme Zaz un peu tout le temps

Une reprise peu utile. Interviewée par le Parisien lorsqu'elle est venue à Londres, Dolly avait dit que sa version serait utilisée par la chaine NBC pour lancer les JO 2024 de Paris.
